Who I am

I'm Mark. I've been in tech since the 90s — before Google existed. Built internet departments for car dealerships, spent 17 years coaching businesses outside the marketing bubble, and watched most “digital transformation” projects fail because they focused on tools instead of outcomes.

I'm building Profit Driven Tech as an AI-first company — meaning I use the same technology I recommend to clients. Every system I suggest, I've tested. Every tool I recommend, I've vetted. I'm not selling theory. I'm selling what I know works because I use it myself.

Why I built Profit Driven Tech

The technology landscape is moving faster than any point in my career. AI tools that didn't exist six months ago are now essential. Tools that were “cutting edge” last year are already being replaced.

Most businesses are either paralyzed — doing nothing because there are too many options — or they've been sold something by a vendor who won't be around when it's time to change.

I built Profit Driven Tech because someone needs to sit on the same side of the table as the business owner and say: “Here's what actually matters right now. Here's what's noise. And here's what we'll probably swap out in six months when something better shows up.”

The name says it: profit, driven by technology. Not technology for its own sake. Not AI hype. Not the tool-of-the-week.

How I think

Profit is the anchor

Technology changes constantly. The goal doesn't. Every decision filters through one question: does this increase profit?

Offense over defense

We focus on revenue growth — finding clients, keeping them, making more per client. Not just cutting costs or "saving time."

Built to evolve

Nothing we implement is permanent by design. Everything is modular, documented, and swappable. Because it will need to be swapped eventually.

Radical honesty about the landscape

I'll tell you what works today. I'll also tell you it might not work in 12 months. That's not a hedge — that's the truth.

Tool-agnostic

I recommend what works, not what pays me. When a better option emerges, I bring it to you. That's the job.

Your data, your systems

No lock-in. No dependency. If we part ways, you keep everything. Every account, every login, every piece of data.

What I won't do

  • Take your money if I can't help you
  • Pretend any tool is a permanent solution (it's not — and anyone who says otherwise is selling you something)
  • Build systems that break when I'm not around
  • Recommend something I wouldn't use myself
  • Sugarcoat when it's time to change direction
