Who I am

I'm Mark. I've been working with technology since the late 80s — before Google existed. I've spent 17 years working with business owners outside the marketing bubble and watched most technology investments fail for the same reason: they focused on tools instead of outcomes.

I know how to run the tools you already have — the CRM you're half-using, the email software you set up once, the ChatGPT subscription collecting dust. And I know how to get them working together so they actually do something.

I'm not here to sell you new software. I'm here to make what you have work — and add what's missing only when it makes sense.

One thing I do recommend to almost every client: a real AI assistant. Not the free version. Claude or ChatGPT as an actual business partner — something you talk to like a senior advisor, not a search engine. The difference between someone using AI as a toy and using it as a tool is enormous. I'll show you the difference.

I work with a small number of clients at a time. I show up in person. I set things up so they run without me — and you own everything when I'm done.

Why I built Profit Driven Tech

The technology landscape is moving faster than any point in my career. AI tools that didn't exist six months ago are now essential. Tools that were “cutting edge” last year are already being replaced.

Most businesses are either paralyzed — doing nothing because there are too many options — or they've been sold something by a vendor who won't be around when it's time to change.

I built Profit Driven Tech because someone needs to sit on the same side of the table as the business owner and say: “Here's what actually matters right now. Here's what's noise. And here's what we'll probably swap out in six months when something better shows up.”

The name says it: profit, driven by technology. Not technology for its own sake. Not AI hype. Not the tool-of-the-week.

How I think

Profit is the anchor

Technology changes constantly. The goal doesn't. Every decision filters through one question: does this increase profit?

Offense over defense

We focus on revenue growth — finding clients, keeping them, making more per client. Not just cutting costs or "saving time."

Built to evolve

Nothing we implement is permanent by design. Everything is modular, documented, and swappable. Because it will need to be swapped eventually.

Radical honesty about the landscape

I'll tell you what works today. I'll also tell you it might not work in 12 months. That's not a hedge — that's the truth.

Tool-agnostic

I recommend what works, not what pays me. When a better option emerges, I bring it to you. That's the job.

Your data, your systems

No lock-in. No dependency. If we part ways, you keep everything. Every account, every login, every piece of data.

What I won't do

  • Take your money if I can't help you
  • Pretend any tool is a permanent solution (it's not — and anyone who says otherwise is selling you something)
  • Build systems that break when I'm not around
  • Recommend something I wouldn't use myself
  • Sugarcoat when it's time to change direction
